Join us for a deep dive into drones, flying cars and the future of unmanned systems.  The forum of experts includes thought leaders from NASA, the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), and Genius NY (see bios below). 

Presenters:
Davis Hackenberg of NASA
Davis is the currently serving as the Deputy Project Manager for the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Integration in the National Airspace System (NAS) Project at Armstrong Flight Research Center.  Davis performs his duties from the Washington DC metro area. The UAS Integration in the NAS Project is designed to eliminate technical and regulatory barriers that are limiting the ability for civil UAS to fly in the NAS. Davis is responsible for Integration with multiple government agencies ensuring that the products of this limited life NASA project are relevant and will be utilized by customers and stakeholders.  Davis is also responsible for duties associated with strategy, planning, and execution of current and future NASA UAS related Projects.  
 
Michael Toscano, formerly CEO & President of AUVSI 
Since January 2015, Michael has provided consulting services as a strategic advisor for a wide variety of clients involved in the unmanned systems community, which include FAA, NASA, the State of New York, and other private companies. From October 2008 to January 2015, Michael was President and CEO for the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI). As the world's largest non-profit organization devoted exclusively to advancing the unmanned systems community, AUVSI fosters, develops, and promotes unmanned systems and related technologies. AUVSI's 600-plus corporate members and 7,500-plus individual members worldwide represent government organizations, industry, and academia. During his tenure, AUVSI tripled the number of corporate members, doubled its operating budget, and more than doubled its staff. Prior to that, Michael coordinated three Department of Defense joint programs as a member of the Under Secretary of Defense staff. He served as the Coordinator for the Joint Robotics Program (JRP), the Chairman of the Physical Security Equipment Action Group and he provided DoD oversight responsibility for the Joint Unexploded Ordnance Coordination Office. 
 
Jon Parry of Genius NY 
Jon Parry has worked with a diverse portfolio of renewable energy and sustainable technologies. Beginning his career with a biomass gasification startup, he has implemented distributed energy systems in Europe and North America working as a project manager in Spremberg, Germany and Newry, Northern Ireland. Jonathan then joined an innovative sustainable materials company, Ecovative Design, in 2013 as business development manager to commercialize Ecovative’s mycelium based technology platform in various product markets including packaging, building materials, and insulation. Jonathan also worked on developing sales and manufacturing partnerships globally in each of these markets. Recently, Jonathan was appointed as the director of GENIUS NY, the world’s largest accelerator competition for unmanned systems. The in-residence accelerator program is hosted at The Tech Garden in Syracuse, NY. Six teams compete for $2.75 million in funding and work to grow their technology-based startups in the Central New York region. Jonathan graduated from Clarkson University with a B.S. in Business and Technology Management and currently lives in Skaneateles, NY
