Joseph Park

Joseph Park, PharmD, MBA, is an accomplished healthcare executive, operator, and investor with 20 years of experience across biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and venture capital. He currently serves as Managing Partner at Sonnerie VC, a Columbia alumni founded emerging venture firm focused on early stage life sciences and regulated technology companies.

Across his career, he has contributed to multiple large scale strategic transactions, including involvement in four acquisitions exceeding billion-dollar valuations across the life sciences sector. Most recently, he was employee number two at Modifi Biosciences, a Yale spinout, where he served as Vice President of Corporate Development, Operations, and Clinical Affairs and played a central role in building the company from its earliest stages through its 1.3 billion dollar acquisition by Merck in 2024. His experience also includes senior medical and strategic leadership roles across multiple biotechnology and pharmaceutical organizations, including Prelude Therapeutics, Audentes Therapeutics, ZS Pharma, and AbbVie, with focus areas spanning oncology, rare disease, gene therapy, and specialty therapeutics.

In parallel with his venture activities, he works closely with early-stage biotechnology companies and investment groups in consulting and advisory capacities, providing senior level support across scientific diligence, clinical positioning, fundraising strategy, and partnership development. He also serves as a Venture Partner with University of Tokyo Edge Capital Partners, collaborating with founders and investors to evaluate and advance innovative life sciences platforms.

He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
