Karen Stein

Dr. Karen Stein has worked in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields for over 25 years with a focus on oncology.   Karen brings a population health perspective to her research while continually assessing the impact of new technologies on individuals   Her work has encompassed small molecule TKI’s, immunotherapy, ADP agents, DNA repair pathways, PARP inhibitors , and conjugate agents at both start-up and multi-national companies including Pfizer, Johnson and Johnson, Rochester, Novartis, and Merck.  She consults for the Texas CPRIT program evaluating new molecules and companies for seed funding.

Dr. Stein graduated summa cum laude from the University of Rochester then received her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and her Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins.
